2004 Industry Association Welcome: Messages from the IALD Chairman and the IESNA President.



The members of the IALD appreciate the commitment you have made in joining us for LIGHTFAIR INTERNATIONAL 2004 in Las Vegas. Once again we look forward to welcoming back returning exhibitors and greeting newcomers to an event that grows and improves each year.

I represent the IALD on the LIGHTFAIR Management Committee, whose yearlong task is to produce the very best exhibition and conference possible. In that capacity, I welcome your thoughts for optimizing the experience for you and your customers. The IALD represents the profession of international lighting design. LIGHTFAIR INTERNATIONAL is a major factor in the success of our organization. This event has become the place for designers to meet each year, to see first-hand the products we will specify, to

revitalize ourselves through seminars on lighting technology, business practices and design, and most importantly to greet existing business allies and meet new ones. The proceeds from the event provide the financial base for our member activities and the resources to promote the lighting profession, to educate design students and professionals, to encourage quality lighting design, and to keep our members up-to-date on the world of lighting.
