Supporting Work : Mesmo TV / GM Bereavement Network / Other Related Projects George Mark Bereavement Network Visual/UI/UX and Extended Identity Design : The George Mark Children's House is a non-profit initiative which cares for terminally ill children in a nurturing, bucolic environment. The Bereavement Network was conceived as a place where the families of these children could find support, connection and continued involvement with the GMCH program. The visual, interface, interaction and user experience design needed to be simple and adaptable. Built on The Communication Group's SOCME platform the application integrates an updated GMCH identity, modular drag and drop functionality and the most elegant social network feature set. DonorsChoose.org Visual/UI/UX and Extended Identity Design : DonorsChoose needed to re-envision the visual, interaction and UI design around the donation process on their very successful Web site application. The donation experience is key to the organization's continuing success and based on audience research, functionality and program needs the new interface enabled users to make, manage and repeat contributions much more effectively by greatly reducing the complexity of the overall transaction. MesmoTV Visual/UI/UX and Identity Design : MesmoTV is one of the most exciting new products to enter the Internet video space. The site expertly infuses that genre's best practices into a socially networked application that aggregates, organizes, tags and describes video content from every corner of the Web. I worked closely with Mesmo for over two years helping them take their product from early concept to fully realized product. A highly iterative design process was put in place to respond to user testing and community feedback as revisions needed to be swift and accurate.
