WRT's master plan outlines a series of long-range strategies for accommodating growth on this highly constrained urban campus in Midtown Atlanta. The plan balances the need for additional on-campus facilities with the universitys desire to retain and enhance campus open space. Traffic, infrastructure, and parking consultants worked with WRT to find creative ways to meet both objectives. Proposed strategies include selectively intensifying campus density while identifying potential expansion areas to provide sites for functions not appropriately located on the central campus. Our work has continued with the urban design plan and landscape design for Technology Squarea new mixed-use development at the edge of campus that incorporates the College of Management, Global Education Center, and campus bookstore, along with a hotel, conference center, and retail functions.
