WRT is landscape architect for two projects that have improved the quality of student life. The new HUB plaza is
located adjacent to the student union building and the campus front entrance and it straddles the main east-west
campus road. WRT's design creates a flexible space to accommodate both special events and informal student
gathering, while maintaining access to service vehicles and a moderate number of private automobiles. One of the
plaza's main features is a granite fountain. As site planner and landscape architect for Eastview Terrace, WRT
designed a new residential neighborhood that provides an on-campus housing alternative for juniors and seniors.
Reminiscent of a hillside village, buildings are organized around a central open space and integrated into the
landscape to frame views and create community gathering spaces at a variety of scales.
