This project is the prototype for Erickson Retirement Communities' new generation of assisted living and
skilled nursing care facilities. The design successfully integrates the program requirements for
higher levels of resident care into a comfortable homelike environment. Renaissance Gardens is a complex of three
mid-rise residential buildings grouped around a large garden and connected by a community building.
Careful manipulation of materials and details provides visual continuity from the independent living buildings,
while establishing a strong identity for the facility within the overall Seabrook Village campus. The
5-story building accommodates 96 assisted living residents and 84 skilled nursing residents.
