Located in the center of historic Wellsboro, this 30-unit assisted living facility has the ambiance of a small inn. The program includes 19 studio apartments, 11 one-bedroom units, a living room, a dining/activities area, and a series of informal lounges. A large porch expands the common areas and overlooks the village street. In order to support this very small facility, the program takes advantage of the existing skilled nursing facility to provide space for deliveries, kitchen facilities, central mechanical systems, and central administration. A service corridor links the two buildings, but residents utilize their own separate entrances.
