WRT's master plan guides the renewal of Haulover Park, a once-cherished regional amenity that had declined in popularity and use. Long a prime beach attraction and recreational draw for residents and visitors, the park's facilities had deteriorated in recent years. The master plan calls for a relocated and expanded waterfront par 3 golf course, an enhanced and diversified beach experience, improved parking and circulation, an extensive waterfront promenade, an expanded marina and concession area, a conservation education facility, and a "great lawn" for community events.
