WRT's master plan guides the redevelopment of a substantially underutilized section of downtown that encompasses
Tallahassees Civic Center, the historic All Saints and Stearns-Mosley neighborhoods, and a large section of
obsolete commercial and industrial uses that lie between the campuses of Florida State University and Florida
A&M University. With bold action by the CRA, this quadrant will be transformed into a lively "University Village,"
an urban neighborhood that accommodates several thousand new student and young professional residents, as well
as entertainment and specialty retail. Change has already begun, even prior to plan adoption, and includes several
renovations of historic structures and an announced new Marriott Hotel. Future phases will include a major regional
greenway as well as a new southern edge of the FSU campus.
