WRT's plan and design of improvements to the 22-acre grounds of Philadelphia's Art Museum has helped
restore the exterior grandeur of this venerable institution. A new ceremonial entry sequence was designed to
improve the entry image, accommodate pedestrian access and address traffic concerns of the original roadway
layout. Also redesigned was the grand plaza at the base of the Art Museum steps, which is the premier venue for
major Philadelphia parades, festivals and public events. Closer to the building, WRT also designed the new
East Forecourt Garden to complement the Museum's Beaux Arts symmetry.
The Landscape Rehabilitation Plan won a Merit Award from ASLA's Pennsylvania, Delaware Chapter.
