Developed on state tidelands by the County of Orange in the early 1970s, the 210-acre Dana Point Harbor is a popular
recreation resource for Southern Californians. WRTs plan outlines a concept for upgrading its 2,500-slip marina,
charter boating, parkland, commercial and restaurant venues and leisure facilities. The firm's work continued with a
detailed master plan, program, and design for nearly $100 million of improvements. New retail facilities will capture
dynamic views and improved water quality measures will protect the Harbors resources. WRT's work will reinforce the
character, ambiance and viability of this beautiful small craft harbor, described by Richard Henry Dana in his book
Two Years Before The Mast as "the only romantic spot in California."
