Principles of New Urbanism and Smart Growth guide our urban design work. We collaborate with transportation, economic, and environmental consultants to help clients create transit-oriented, mixed-use communities that are economically and environmentally sustainable. Our projects include the repair of existing towns damaged by the impact of highways or urban renewal, such as downtown Hayward, California or the Market/Octavia Neighborhood Plan in San Francisco, as well as the design of completely new communities, such as the Coyote Valley Vision for San Jose. Assignments range from conceptual to full specific plans and also include regulatory design controls and guidelines.
